STEERING WING PLATES FOR CHAMP MIDSECTION
Fiberglass lightweight cowling that fits 2.0/2.4/2.5 V6 outboards. Custom design, based off factory cowl. Made of fiberglass, comes complete. Painted, custom color decals, all hardware, bungees, aluminum louvers, 304 SS base plate.
Available with a variety of options. See baseplate sections for what styles are available. Contact us and we will discuss how you want yours made.

CNC billet aluminum steering plates. Water jet cut from 6061 aluminum. These fit a 15" or 20" midsection with a 1 piece tuner, the older style, that does not extend past the midsection.

A new design of our CNC billet aluminum steering wing plates. These fit a 15" or 20" V6 midsection with the old style 1 piece tuner plate. These plates have been designed to reduce weight and increase style. Available with both bronze sleeve bearing or stainless ball bearing pulleys, as well as proper pulley mounts for standard swivel and 2" setback swivel.

BASE PLATES
We are please to offer base plates for all Merc V6 applications, as well as some custom options. All are water jet cut from 304 stainless steel, and fit as the factory pieces. Bulk buying options

304 stainless steel water jet cut base plate for the older style cowlings. These fit 2.0/2.4/2.5 racing cowls. 1/16" thick, deburred and ready to use. This would be a direct replacement for a factory plate.

This has the smaller exhaust ports as would be on carbureted engines. With the thicker section between exhaust and the water inlet to the block, it can help reduce chances of the gaskets failing.
